Bromic repairs and servicing from a Perth technician
Bromic equipment turns up on almost every kind of job we attend: glass door uprights in service stations, underbench fridges on cafe lines, multidecks in convenience stores and ice machines behind bars. When one of them stops holding temperature, the stock inside starts costing you money within hours. Sam Celesti repairs and services Bromic refrigeration across Perth, whether the unit came from us, a catering supplier or an online store.
Two decades of commercial refrigeration work sit behind every Bromic job Sam takes on, and his ARCtick licence number is AU55592. He works on every major brand, so a site with a Bromic upright beside another maker's prep counter gets both looked at in one visit. There are no subcontractors: the person who diagnoses the Bromic fault is the person who fixes it.
The Bromic range we repair

The Bromic catalogue is broad, and Perth businesses run most of it. The upright line alone covers 29 models, from single door display fridges to two door storage freezers. Add 12 underbench fridges and freezers, 18 multidecks in full height and semi vertical styles, curved and square deli displays, cake displays, chest freezers and a gelato cabinet. For pharmacies and clinics there are three MediFridge vaccine fridges, from 145 L to 372 L, with a matching data logger.
Each type fails in its own way. A semi vertical multideck with sliding doors depends on clean door tracks and good seals. An open multideck lives or dies by its air curtain, so a blocked honeycomb or a dead fan shows up as warm product on the front edge of each shelf. A cake display has to hold temperature with a large area of glass in a warm shop, which is why door and glass heaters, fans and a clean condenser matter so much on those units.
Bromic ice machines are part of the job

Bromic sells self-contained hollow and solid cube machines rated from 18 kg to 134 kg of ice a day, plus modular flake and half dice heads from 160 kg to 485 kg that sit on separate storage bins. An ice maker is a refrigeration circuit and a water circuit sharing one cabinet, so a slow or stalled machine might need a descale, a new filter cartridge, a pump or a refrigeration repair. Sam checks both sides before he quotes. For more on the water side, our ice machine repairs page covers cleaning and scale in detail.
What Sam checks when a Bromic unit plays up
Most Bromic models that list a refrigerant run on R290, a hydrocarbon gas with low global warming potential that is also flammable, so leak finding and regassing call for a licensed technician who follows the right procedure. The underbench fridges, back bar fridges and MediFridge units use R600a or R600 instead, which are hydrocarbons as well, while the four half dice modular ice heads use R404A. Sam confirms the gas from the data plate before any refrigerant work begins.
On a typical Bromic callout the checks run in this order:
- The controller reading against a probe thermometer placed in the product, since most listed Bromic models use a digital controller.
- The condenser coil and condenser fan, which in Perth are the first suspects on any warm cabinet.
- The evaporator fan and coil. Most Bromic fridges with a listed air circulation type are fan forced, so a seized fan stops cold air reaching the shelves.
- Door gaskets, hinges and self-closers, plus the glass heaters on display doors that fog up.
- The defrost cycle on freezers, and signs of a slow refrigerant leak such as oil at a joint.

Placement matters as much as parts. Bromic rates each model for a maximum room temperature, and across the range that runs from 25°C to 43°C. Twenty six listings are rated for a 25°C room, which is fine in an air conditioned shop and hard work beside a deep fryer in January. If a unit keeps failing in the same spot, Sam will tell you whether the fault is the fridge or the position it is in.
Servicing that keeps a Bromic unit out of trouble
Many Bromic breakdowns start months earlier as a slowly clogging coil or a gasket that has begun to split. A service visit cleans the condenser, tests the fans, checks the seals, confirms the controller and probe agree, and looks for frost patterns that point to airflow or defrost faults. Ice machines also get descaled and sanitised. If you run several units, our commercial refrigeration maintenance plans group them into one scheduled visit so nothing gets missed.
Booking a Bromic repair in Perth
Send a quote request or call with the model code and what the unit is doing, and we call back within 30 minutes. Same-day callouts run across metro Perth, 7 days a week. The call-out is $75 plus GST and labour $180 an hour plus GST and parts, and you get a fixed price for the repair before any work goes ahead.
For non-Bromic equipment the process is the same, explained on our commercial fridge repairs page. If the honest answer is that a unit is not worth fixing, Sam can price a replacement from the full Bromic refrigeration range in Perth and install it, so the business is back to normal with one call.
