Hoshizaki equipment, from one local technician
Hoshizaki is a Japanese maker best known for ice machines, and its Australian range also takes in commercial fridges, freezers and sushi display cases. You will find its machines in Perth hotels, bars, sushi restaurants, seafood counters and hospital kitchens. Sam Celesti supplies the range, installs it, and keeps it running afterwards, so one person knows your equipment from the day it arrives.
With over two decades on commercial refrigeration jobs, Sam carries ARCtick licence AU55592. He takes callouts seven days a week, does the work himself rather than using subcontractors, and gives a fixed price before starting any repair. He is independent of Hoshizaki and works on every brand.

Matching the range to your business
Bars, cafes and restaurants
A self-contained cube or crescent machine under the bench covers most venues. Cube ice suits spirits and cocktails; crescent ice lets soft drinks and beer pour with less foaming. Size the machine from your busiest night, then check the bin holds enough to last the rush.
Seafood, supermarkets and food processing
Flake ice beds fish and produce on display. The modular FM flake heads run from 250 kg to 890 kg a day and sit on one of the four Hoshizaki bins, so the head and bin are chosen together.
Hotels, hospitals and worksites
Self-serve ice is a hygiene question as much as a capacity one. The DCM units dispense ice and water straight into a cup without anyone opening a bin, and the DB-200H, with a KMD crescent head above it, comes in hotel and worksite versions. Nugget ice is easy to chew, which is why it turns up in patient care.
Commercial kitchens and sushi bars
The upright fridges hold 1 °C to 4 °C, some freezers go as low as -25 °C, and the underbench and drawer models fit under a prep line. The sushi cases sit on the counter in front of the chef and hold fish at about 5 °C.
Checks before you buy
- Heat. No Hoshizaki ice machine on this site with a published rating is cleared for rooms above 40 °C, and the KM crescent units stop at 38 °C. Perth summers pass 40 °C, so a machine in a hot storeroom needs airflow or a cooler spot.
- Water and drains. Every ice machine and the DCM dispensers need a cold water supply and somewhere to drain. Drain pump versions of some cube and crescent machines help where there is no floor waste.
- Power. Most of the ice machines take a standard 10 amp plug, but the two largest FM flake heads and the largest nugget head need a 15 amp outlet.
- Access. Measure doors, corridors and stairs as well as the final spot. A 1,365 L upright or a stacked pair of ice heads will not turn every corner.
Supply and installation
Sam quotes the unit with delivery and installation in Perth. He places and levels it, checks clearances and power, connects water, drains and filters for ice equipment, and stays until the fridge is at temperature or the ice machine is harvesting properly. Ask Sam about taking the old unit away, since its refrigerant must be recovered by a licensed technician. If you already have trades on site, the equipment can be sent by courier.
Servicing and repairs
Sam services and repairs Hoshizaki ice machines, dispensers, fridges and freezers, whether you bought them from him or not. The call-out is $75 + GST and labour is $180 + GST an hour plus parts, with the repair priced once the fault is found. Read about Hoshizaki repairs and servicing, or keep ice machines and cabinets on a regular maintenance plan so descaling and coil cleaning happen on time.
