SKOPE from the first quote to the tenth service
SKOPE is a New Zealand refrigeration maker, and its fridges and freezers work in cafes, bars, service stations, bakeries and commercial kitchens across Perth. Sam Celesti supplies the range, installs it and then looks after it, so the technician who measures your site is the same one who picks up the phone if a fan fails years later.
Sam has more than 20 years in commercial refrigeration and holds ARCtick licence AU55592. He works without subcontractors, takes callouts seven days a week and gives a fixed price before starting any repair.
The range, category by category
The cards above cover 272 products in seven categories. Five are SKOPE's own fridges and freezers. The other two come from brands SKOPE distributes, ITV for ice machines and Irinox for blast chillers, and Sam supplies and services those as well.
- Display fridges. 84 models, from ActiveCore and EziCore glass door uprights to BackBar and Ascend fridges for bars and OpenDeck and SpeedLane units for grab and go. Compare them on the SKOPE display fridges page.
- Storage fridges. 51 solid door uprights, underbench fridges and drawer units from ActiveCore, ProSpec and ReFlex, between 126 L and 1,399 L. See SKOPE storage fridges.

Reading the SKOPE range names
SKOPE sorts its fridges into named families, and knowing them makes the catalogue quicker to scan:
- ActiveCore: upright glass and solid door fridges and freezers, with the refrigeration mounted on top or at the bottom.
- EziCore: a short list of glass door uprights holding 0 °C to 5 °C.
- BackBar and Ascend: low fridges and coolers built to sit behind a bar.
- OpenDeck and SpeedLane: self-serve displays where customers help themselves.
- ProSpec: kitchen fridges and freezers sized to gastronorm pans.
- ReFlex: uprights, underbench units and prep fridges across a wide spread of widths.
Choosing well for a Perth site
Front of house or back
Glass doors sell what is behind them, so they belong where customers can see in. In a kitchen or storeroom nobody browses, and a solid door keeps the stock out of sight and out of the light. SKOPE lists its ActiveCore glass door uprights as suitable for display or storage, which helps when one fridge has to do both.
Heat around the unit
Perth summer days can pass 40 °C, and a storeroom with a tin roof or a bar with no air conditioning gets hotter. Any fridge in a hot, tight space runs longer, uses more power and wears its compressor sooner. Open "Full specs" on a model to see its complete technical table, and leave the clearances SKOPE recommends. Sam checks the placement as part of the quote.
Daily energy use
SKOPE publishes kilowatt hours per day for many of its models, which makes running costs easy to compare. Glass costs more on a freezer: the three door SKFT1500N-A display freezer is listed at 31.12 kWh a day, while its solid door twin, the SKFT1500NS-A, is listed at 24.98 kWh.
Space, water and the way in
Measure the route from the street as well as the final spot, since corridors and back doors stop more deliveries than anything else. Ice machines also need a cold water supply and a drain, and 14 of the self-contained ITV models are drain pump versions for sites with no floor waste below the machine. The largest Irinox roll-in units are close to room sized and should be planned with the rest of the fit-out.
Supply and installation
Once you have picked a model, Sam quotes it with delivery and installation in Perth. He places and levels the unit, checks clearances and the power supply, connects water and drains for ice machines, and runs everything down to temperature before he leaves. If an old unit is being replaced, ask Sam about removing it; its refrigerant has to be recovered by a licensed technician first. Units can also be sent by courier if you already have an installer.
Servicing and repairs
Sam services and repairs SKOPE refrigeration, and the ITV and Irinox equipment it distributes, whether or not you bought it here. A visit costs $75 + GST to attend and $180 + GST an hour plus parts, and every repair is priced up front once the fault is found.
