What is in this category
This page gathers 19 units from the Arcus range. Sixteen carry Arcus's own name, two vaccine fridges are made by Nuline and one island freezer comes from Hussmann. Arcus is a Perth supplier based in Malaga. Sam Celesti is not part of Arcus, but he can supply any of these units, install them on your site and look after them once they are running.
Solid door uprights
The CU models are storage cabinets with solid doors in one, two and three door widths. CU/1, CU/2 and CU/3 are fridges, and CU/1F, CU/2F and CU/3F are the freezer versions. They suit a kitchen or storeroom where nobody needs to see the stock.
Glass door display uprights
The AUD models follow the same one, two and three door pattern with glass doors, as fridges (AUD/1 to AUD/3) and as freezers (AUD/1F to AUD/3F). Put them where customers help themselves to drinks, dairy or frozen lines. Glass lets heat through faster than an insulated solid door, so a display freezer has to work harder than a storage freezer of similar size.
Vaccine fridges
Four units are made for vaccines and medicines: the Arcus AUD/1PV, listed at 230 litres, the Arcus AUD/1SV at 400 litres, and the Nuline HR200G and HR400G. The National Vaccine Storage Guidelines set a range of 2 °C to 8 °C, which is why clinics and pharmacies need a purpose built unit instead of a drinks cooler. See medical refrigeration for more on monitoring.
Mortuary cabinets and an island freezer
Arcus also lists two mortuary cabinets, one loading from the side (X-BMC-SE) and one from the end (X-BMC-EE). The better fit depends on the room and how trolleys approach it, so talk it through with Sam first. The Hussmann island freezer case is a freestanding unit for the middle of a shop floor, and it also appears among the Arcus supermarket display cases.
Before you order
Arcus publishes few hard figures for these units, so each card above shows the maker and little more. Each model's "Full specs" page lists the features Arcus publishes for it. For anything missing, send Sam the model code and he will confirm dimensions, capacity, plug and power before you commit.
- Width and the way in. A three door upright is a big cabinet. Measure the final spot, the door swing and every doorway and corridor between the truck and that spot.
- Air around it. Every fridge pushes heat into the room. One squeezed into an alcove or a storeroom under a tin roof runs longer on a 40 °C Perth day and wears out sooner.
- Power. Find out what plug the unit takes, and avoid sharing an outlet with an oven or coffee machine.
- Stock turnover. A drinks fridge opened all day needs more recovery than a storage freezer opened twice a shift.
- Food safety. Chilled food must stay at 5 °C or colder, which an overpacked fridge struggles to manage.
Delivery, install and handover
Sam brings the unit in, sets it in position and levels it so the doors close and seal properly. He then switches it on, waits for it to pull down to temperature and checks the reading before leaving, so stock can go straight in. If an old fridge or freezer has to go, ask Sam about taking it away. Units can also be sent by courier if someone on site will install them.
Servicing and repairs
Sam services and repairs Arcus range fridges and freezers himself, without subcontractors, and agrees a fixed price before any repair begins. A callout is $75 + GST, then $180 + GST an hour plus parts. See commercial fridge and freezer repairs, scheduled maintenance or the whole Arcus range.
